Description

You will design, implement, and optimize high-performance, highly available Java-based microservices.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Java-based microservices for availability and performance.
• Build automation for deployment, monitoring, and scaling using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Drive performance engineering initiatives including load testing, profiling, and JVM tuning.
• Implement SRE best practices such as SLIs, SLOs, and alerting.
• Lead migration of on-prem or legacy workloads to cloud-native architectures.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Java Developer with JVM Architect expertise.
• Proven experience in Performance Engineering, including JVM tuning and profiling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in automation and infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
• Solid understanding of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Groovy for tooling.
