Description

You will build and maintain backend services within a cloud-native environment using Java and Kafka.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new features in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
• Maintain and optimize backend APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Kotlin.
• Triage, diagnose, and resolve technical issues reported via support channels.
• Work with Kafka, AWS services, SNS, and SQS to support event-driven architectures.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in RESTful API development and microservices.
• Experience with AWS cloud integrations, including SNS and SQS.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB, SQL databases, or GraphQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
