Description

You will modernize a core capital markets risk application by upgrading legacy codebases and implementing scalable backend services.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead the modernization of legacy Angular codebases to the latest versions using standalone components and signals.
• Design and implement backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Refactor and enhance Oracle PL/SQL queries and stored procedures to support business logic.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and responsiveness across the full stack.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and peer reviews within an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot and REST API design.
• Strong Angular experience, specifically upgrading and refactoring legacy applications.
• Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including performance tuning and schema design.
• Solid understanding of TypeScript, RxJS, and Angular CLI.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerized environments like Docker.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and JIRA.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with testing frameworks including JUnit, Jasmine, and Karma.
