Description

You will build and deploy risk models in Java and Python within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement new risk models in Python and Java and deploy them into production.
• Convert legacy Perl scripts to Python by working closely with quantitative strategists.
• Design, code, test, and deliver high-quality software through the full SDLC.
• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into a unified system.
• Support model runs and enhancements across QA, UAT, and production environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and the Spring framework.
• Proficiency in Python, including experience with web frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Experience developing Microservices APIs using Spring Boot.
• Strong database skills with T-SQL, DB2, or Sybase.
• Experience with RESTful services and middleware including SOAP and XML.
• Ability to work with ORM libraries and messaging systems.
• Knowledge of Perl to interpret existing risk model scripts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in investment banking.
• Familiarity with MQ, Autosys, and Hibernate.
