Description

You will own the development, deployment, and support of the Equities trading platform, focusing on FIX engines, client connectivity, and post-trade allocations.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and enhance Java-based systems, including FIX engines and Drop copy flows.
• Manage system implementations, upgrades, and vendor change requests for low-touch, high-touch, and algo trading platforms.
• Monitor application components and troubleshoot production issues, including global support with weekend availability.
• Streamline operations to reduce toil and improve scalability through automation and process improvements.
• Prepare system documentation and coordinate testing for system enhancements and new business initiatives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java programming.
• Strong knowledge of Equity products: Cash, Derivatives, Trading (Low/High Touch, Algo, PT, DMA).
• Expertise in FIX protocol, specifically ULLink client connectivity and order routing.
• Proficiency in Linux environment and scripting languages: Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins.
• Proven background in DevOps, application support, and system deployment.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with global cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in the financial industry, specifically equity front office IT.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and managing project priorities.
