Description

Lead design and development of Java-based microservices and API management solutions for enterprise-grade applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Java and Spring Boot applications, focusing on microservices architecture.
• Design and manage RESTful APIs using Apigee, ensuring security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Implement and manage NGINX configurations for routing, load balancing, and traffic management.
• Drive application modernization initiatives, including legacy migration to microservices and cloud-ready architectures.
• Mentor junior developers, perform code reviews, and enforce engineering standards and governance frameworks.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience in application development within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java (J2EE) and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Proven experience with API management platforms, specifically Apigee.
• Experience with NGINX for reverse proxy, routing, and traffic control.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven, along with DevOps practices.
• Exposure to containerization and cloud platforms including Docker, OpenShift, and PCF.
