Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance web interfaces using jQuery, Bootstrap, and DataTables.

• Integrate front-end components with RESTful web services built on Jersey / JAX-RS.

• Work within the existing MVC-based architecture (Servlets, DAOs, DTOs) to connect UI to business logic.

• Assist with maintaining Java 8 / Java EE backend code under the guidance of senior developers and the team lead.

• Support database-driven UI features using JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, and SQL.

• Troubleshoot UI, integration, and front-end performance issues.

• Collaborate with senior developers, product, and QA teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into UI changes.

• Follow appropriate security and data-handling practices when working with customer, product, and regulatory information.

Required Qualifications

• Under 8 years of overall experience, with strong hands-on front-end development skills.

• Strong experience with jQuery, Bootstrap, DataTables, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Working knowledge of Java 8 and Java EE / J2EE application development.

• Familiarity with MVC architecture, Servlets, DAO/DTO patterns, and REST APIs.

• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably MySQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience with Git / GitHub.

• Ability to troubleshoot UI and integration issues, and to learn business and technical domains quickly.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Java application servers such as WildFly, JBoss, or TomEE.

• Experience with Maven and/or ANT.

• Experience with BIRT Reports.

• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

• Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food & beverage, cosmetics, or manufacturing.

• Exposure to DocumentDB, Neo4j, or applications hosted on AWS.

• Interest in growing into a full-stack role over time
