Description

Design, develop, and deploy technical solutions for complex database applications. Own the full development lifecycle from requirements analysis to production troubleshooting. Collaborate with systems architects to ensure design compliance and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services and relational database applications using SQL.
• Build and integrate frontend components using React within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring adherence to industry and company standards.
• Develop, review, and execute automated and manual unit and integration tests to ensure release readiness.
• Troubleshoot production issues and mentor junior developers on best practices and system design.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development with a strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency in Spring Framework, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, and advanced Java concepts.
• Experience building user interfaces with React.
• Solid understanding of relational database principles and SQL, specifically with Oracle.
• Experience working with message queues, specifically Kafka.
• Comfortable working in distributed computing environments on UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows.
• Proficiency with Java IDEs, preferably IntelliJ IDEA.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Background in Securities, Banking, or Financial Services.
• Experience with Confluence and issue management systems.
