Description

You will design, develop, and deploy complex database applications, owning the full lifecycle from requirements to production troubleshooting.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Java-based backend services and relational database applications using SQL.
• Develop and integrate frontend components using React within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices while adhering to industry standards.
• Execute automated and manual unit and integration tests to ensure release readiness.
• Troubleshoot production issues and mentor junior developers on best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience with strong data structures and algorithms knowledge.
• Proficiency in Spring Framework, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, and advanced Java concepts.
• Experience building user interfaces with React.
• Solid understanding of relational database principles and SQL, specifically with Oracle.
• Experience working with message queues, specifically Kafka.
• Comfortable working in distributed computing environments on UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows.
• Proficiency with Java IDEs, preferably IntelliJ IDEA.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Background in Securities, Banking, or Financial Services.
