Description

Design, develop, and support scalable applications within the financial modeling and research division.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable services using Java frameworks and microservices architecture.
• Write clean code with automated unit and integration tests ensuring full coverage.
• Fix defects and address technical debt to maintain development best practices.
• Coordinate with team members across different infrastructure layers.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades and adoption of new technologies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong background in Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate.
• Experience with Kafka and Netflix stack for microservices.
• Proficiency in REST API design, development, documentation, and testing.
• Experience with build tools including Gradle, Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
• Deep knowledge of application, data, and architecture design patterns.
• Experience with SQL Server, Sybase, Redis, MongoDB, and Kafka.
• Financial acumen to understand business requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with fundamental web front-end languages and frameworks.
• Experience writing automated unit, integration, regression, performance, and acceptance tests.
