Description

Build and maintain Java-based backend services and React frontends, leveraging AI coding assistants to drive efficient, spec-driven development.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust Java applications using Spring Boot and RESTful API patterns.
• Build responsive user interfaces with React and modern frontend frameworks.
• Design and implement microservices adhering to Service Oriented Architecture principles.
• Optimize SQL queries and data aggregation for high-performance analytics consumers.
• Utilize AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Cursor to accelerate daily development workflows.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and building REST APIs.
• Experience with React or comparable frontend frameworks.
• Solid SQL knowledge, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
• Understanding of Microservices and Service Oriented Architecture patterns.
• Experience designing APIs for analytics, including filtering and aggregation.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Demonstrated ability to debug and performance tune applications.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to healthcare environments or HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services.
