Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Apache Kafka.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend systems to support high-volume applications.
• Optimize application performance through profiling, code optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate backend systems with front-end interfaces through cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage data integrity, security, and privacy via proper database design and management.
• Lead and mentor junior developers on coding standards and software development best practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of backend development experience using Java.
• Proven expertise in Apache Kafka and its ecosystem.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database design and management.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within the apparel industry.
