Lead development of scalable financial applications in a hybrid role based in Newton, MA.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust, secure applications using Java and modern frameworks.
• Architect and implement microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
• Enforce engineering best practices including TDD, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Mentor junior developers and guide technical decisions across the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software releases.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and object-oriented design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Angular or React and JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of SOLID design principles and design patterns.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture and RESTful services.
• Experience with cloud technologies and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and scalable system design.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ionic or mobile development frameworks.
• Background in financial services or regulated industries.
