Description

Lead the architectural direction and development of backend services using cloud-native patterns.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement microservices and distributed systems on AWS Cloud.
• Design for scalability, fault tolerance, and integration patterns.
• Own and improve DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
• Troubleshoot production issues and analyze system performance.
• Mentor engineers and influence cross-functional delivery quality.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3-4 years in technical leadership.
• Expert proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience building RESTful services.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience architecting solutions on AWS Cloud.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and ELK.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certifications (Solution Architect, Developer, or DevOps).
• Experience with observability stacks including OpenTelemetry.
