Description

You will lead software engineering teams, define technical direction, and deliver scalable microservices and APIs.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers on technical decisions and code quality.
• Conduct pull request reviews for security, stability, performance, and readability.
• Scope and define engineering work, clarifying requirements as needed.
• Design and build scalable components, efficient APIs, and web applications.
• Decompose monolithic applications into modern microservices architectures.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years providing technical direction to engineering teams.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Substantial experience with React.js, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
• Strong background in web development using Java, C#, or Python.
• Intimate familiarity with computer science fundamentals and software architecture.
• Ability to design and build applications from whiteboard sketches.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Node.js, particularly in microservices.
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker.
