Description

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-volume, low-latency Java applications using Spring Boot. Own the full lifecycle from detailed design documentation to deployment of microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modular Java applications with a focus on performance and low latency.
• Create and deploy microservices using the Spring Boot framework.
• Conduct unit, integration, and performance tests on backend components, optimizing code as needed.
• Troubleshoot backend issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability.
• Produce detailed design documentation and lead technical decisions with minimal supervision.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in a lead role with 3-5 years total Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency in OOP, Design Patterns, Java Collections, and Streams.
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA, ORM performance considerations, and relational databases (MySQL or Oracle).
• Experience building RESTful services and integrating with message queues (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Proficiency with build tools (Maven), testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, JMeter), and version control (Git).
• Ability to handle complex XML/JSON data structures.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and tools like SOAP UI or Swagger.
• Knowledge of functional programming, Python, Angular, or Docker/Kubernetes.
