Description

Develop and maintain Java applications on mainframe systems, translating legacy COBOL logic into modern implementations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications on mainframe environments.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for DB2 databases.
• Collaborate with mainframe teams to translate business logic from COBOL to Java.
• Develop and consume web services to integrate with external systems.
• Troubleshoot application issues and participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java development.
• 5+ years of experience with DB2 and SQL, including complex querying.
• 3+ years of experience working in a mainframe environment.
• Ability to read and understand COBOL code.
• Experience developing and consuming web services using Java.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.
• Must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or GC EAD.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with UI creation using Angular or React.
