Description

You will lead the migration of enterprise Java applications from JDK 8 to JDK 17. You will modernize legacy codebases using OpenRewrite and update Spring frameworks. You will handle deployment on JBoss and optimize database interactions with Oracle DB. You will also implement Linux scripting for build and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Java 8 codebases to JDK 17, utilizing immutable collections and sealed classes.
• Upgrade Spring Framework components and refactor legacy application logic.
• Execute migrations using OpenRewrite or similar porting tools to ensure accuracy.
• Manage JBoss deployment configurations and Linux-based build pipelines.
• Collaborate on Oracle DB schema adjustments and query optimizations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Proven track record upgrading applications from JDK 8 to JDK 17.
• Strong command of Spring Framework upgrades and dependency management.
• Hands-on experience with JBoss application server administration.
• Proficiency with OpenRewrite or automated refactoring tools.
• Working knowledge of Linux scripting and Oracle DB.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in large-scale enterprise or BFSI domain projects.
