Description

You will design and develop NLP applications focused on medical entity extraction and text mining.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Java applications and databases to store NLP entities and relationships.
• Implement text representation techniques, classification algorithms, and semantic extraction methods.
• Train, evaluate, and refine models through statistical analysis of results.
• Extend client libraries and frameworks to support specific NLP tasks.
• Identify and implement appropriate algorithms and tools for complex NLP requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an NLP Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong Java development experience with the ability to write robust, testable code.
• Clinical NLP experience using cTakes or UIMA.
• Deep understanding of healthcare domain and ontology tools.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Keras, BERT, or OpenNLP.
• Familiarity with scikit-learn and various NLP libraries.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and data modeling.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with complex data structures and large-scale text mining.
