Lead Java and JavaScript development for cloud-native microservices and frontend applications, mentoring distributed teams and driving engineering excellence.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead POD teams across multiple time zones, including offshore members, providing technical direction and mentorship.
• Design and build scalable, secure backend APIs and services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Develop and maintain single-page applications using Angular or React, integrating with HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway) using CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to resolve production issues, perform RCA, and automate workflows.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Java backend development (Core Java 8+), Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML, CSS, and jQuery for frontend development.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and workflow automation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Docker containerization.
• Proficiency with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate and JPA.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI agents (Windsurf, Co-pilot) for development automation and process improvement.
• Knowledge of messaging systems (SNS, SQS, Kafka) and security concepts (OAuth2, JWT).
