Description

Manage and maintain application stability in a Java and Unix environment. Own the release pipeline, incident resolution, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve application issues through code debugging and log analysis.
• Manage incidents by driving resolution and maintaining stakeholder communication.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify patterns and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Automate manual tasks to improve operational efficiency.
• Support business continuity planning, migrations, and holiday activity windows.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Java application support.
• Strong debugging skills in Java environments.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with Unix shell scripting.
• Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and database management.
• Practical knowledge of ITIL processes, specifically Incident Management and Problem Management.
• Ability to work actively within a team to resolve complex application discrepancies.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.
