Description

The ideal candidate will join a dedicated production support team responsible for maintaining the stability, availability, and performance of enterprise applications in a 24x7 environment.

This is a pure production support role focused on incident and ticket resolution, troubleshooting, application monitoring, and following established runbooks and support procedures. Candidates should have strong experience with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and RESTful Web Services and be comfortable working in a rotational support schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for enterprise Java/JEE applications in a 24x7 environment.
• Monitor applications and respond to production incidents and support tickets.
• Troubleshoot application issues and identify root causes within established support processes.
• Follow documented runbooks, standard operating procedures, and escalation procedures.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve production issues.
• Perform application health checks and support incident resolution within defined SLAs.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and recurring issues appropriately.
• Participate in scheduled weekend and off-hours support rotations.
• Support knowledge transfer and operational readiness activities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java/JEE in a production support environment.
• Solid experience with Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise applications in production.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and incident-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a 24x7 support environment.
• Willingness to participate in rotational weekend and night-shift support.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Reston, VA, 2–3 days per week and be based in the DMV area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Big Data technologies or applications.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale production environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident and problem-management processes.
• Experience working with application monitoring and production support tools
