Description

Lead backend automation and testing quality for data ingestion, pipelines, and messaging platforms in a capital markets environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own API automation delivery using REST Assured, Java, and Cucumber BDD frameworks.
• Develop and test Java Spring Boot applications supporting data pipelines and Pub/Sub messaging.
• Build and maintain automated component and service-level tests for multi-environment setups.
• Ensure cloud production readiness by following Twelve-Factor App principles during platform migration.
• Mentor Test Automation Engineers and guide enterprise-wide test engineering initiatives.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development or SDET/Test Automation.
• Strong expertise in backend API automation with REST Assured and TestNG or JUnit.
• Proficiency in BDD frameworks, specifically Cucumber.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MQ.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
• Understanding of design patterns, data structures, and layered architecture.
• Ability to programmatically test and debug code with a development-level mindset.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Cloud experience and Java Certification.
• Experience in Capital Markets or Banking environments.
