Description

You will develop the Laboratory Information Management System for sample tracking, meta-data recording, and flow control in a clinical laboratory and DNA sequencing facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop features for sample receipt, processing, location management, and delivery documentation by collaborating with lab staff.
• Optimize system workflows to improve efficiency, fault tolerance, and error recovery.
• Collaborate on requirements analysis, design, configuration, change management, and security assurance.
• Prototype and test new software components.
• Prepare documentation and provide end-user training and support.

Required Skills

• 5+ years designing in object-oriented principles and data modeling.
• 5+ years developing software using Java and related frameworks.
• 3+ years working with databases and executing SQL queries.
• Expertise in Spring, MySQL, SQL, Maven, JUnit, Web Service, and REST.
• Experience with XML and Bootstrap.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a production team, participating in design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Angular or React.
• Linux experience.
