Own technical design and architecture for large-scale Java Spring Boot applications, focusing on payment integrations and system reliability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for large-scale business systems, defining solution approaches and conceptual architectures.
• Prepare and review high-level (HLD) and low-level (HLSD) design documentation for interfaces, data security, and recovery.
• Oversee payment transaction workflows, including authorization, capture, settlements, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Manage estimation and sizing for enterprise projects while researching technologies for scalability and cost-effectiveness.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Information Technology experience.
• Deep expertise in payment processing systems, gateways, or acquirers for customer and merchant initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with payment data tokenization and integration with third-party gateways (PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of architectural and design patterns applied to practical problems.
• Experience with payment instruments: Credit/Debit cards, ACH, and Electronic Checks.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent progressive experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microservices, AWS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB), and web technologies (Angular, React).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
