Description

You will lead one or more applications development teams to deliver scalable data computation and processing platforms using Big Data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage team performance, hiring, and resource allocation while overseeing day-to-day staff management issues.
• Provide technical oversight across systems and review proposed technical solutions to contribute to applications development strategies.
• Monitor delivery of end results and participate in budget management to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Negotiate with external parties and define standards while ensuring essential procedures are followed.
• Influence senior leaders through data-driven communication and diplomacy.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry, including roles as an Applications Development Manager.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Apache Spark, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Experience with Oracle DB, Big Data technologies, Python, Grid Computing, Data Warehousing, and Cloud Computing.
• Proven project management skills and demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with caching solutions like Pinot and Redis.
• Market risk domain knowledge.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities.
