Description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing applications and pipelines using Scala, Java, Python, and Apache Spark.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data pipelines with Apache Spark, Scala, PySpark, or Java.
• Develop and maintain APIs and microservices for system integration.
• Write complex SQL to query and optimize relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Manage data ingestion and orchestration workflows.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in Spark jobs and pipelines.

Required Skills

• Expert proficiency in Scala, Python, and Java.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix CLI and shell scripting.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• 5+ years of professional development experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data orchestration tools.
• Background in data engineering or large-scale data processing.
