Description

Build and deploy Java-based REST APIs and microservices using the Spring Boot framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop new applications using Spring MVC and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Implement JDBC calls, XML processing, and RESTful communications.
• Build telemetry dashboards and manage application logging.
• Write unit test cases and ensure high code coverage standards.
• Manage application deployment and lifecycle using Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java (version 8 and above).
• Strong command of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience developing microservices with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and managing database calls via JDBC.
• Experience with version control, including branch and conflict management.
• Knowledge of Jenkins for code deployment and CI/CD processes.
• Experience using Postman or SoapUI for API testing.
• Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with messaging services such as RabbitMQ or JMS.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on use of Splunk or AppDynamics for telemetry and logging.
• Experience with JUnit for testing and SonarQube for code coverage.
• Proficiency with Bitbucket and SourceTree.
