Description

You will lead an applications development team, drive technical decisions, and own the release pipeline while coaching junior developers and managing personnel duties.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage the applications development team, including hiring, performance evaluations, and training.
• Make technical decisions on software projects and recommend new work procedures.
• Ensure code quality and task quality for the team, influencing decisions through technical advice.
• Coach junior developers and serve as a backup to the Applications Development Manager.
• Assess risk in business decisions and ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and software engineering principles.
• Experience with React and Kafka for full-stack and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Proven track record in project management and technical decision-making.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills with clear communication.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with dependency management, change management, and CI testing tools.
• Familiarity with audit and compliance requirements.
