Description

You will lead a team of four through a legacy modernization effort, supporting existing WebSphere systems while building new SpringBoot architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team in supporting legacy applications and developing new SpringBoot services.
• Drive migration from XML-based Spring Framework and DB2 to SpringBoot and AWS Aurora.
• Bridge the gap between existing JMS/MQ integrations and modern API-driven architectures.
• Own production deployments, including after-hours support if required.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with Java (1.8+) and Spring Framework (XML).
• 8+ years of experience with JMS and MQ.
• 8+ years of experience with SQL/RDBMS, specifically DB2 and Postgres.
• 8+ years of experience with Java SpringBoot 3+.
• 3+ years of experience with Single Page Applications (SPA), preferably Angular.
• 2-3 years of experience with AWS services.
• Deep understanding of IoC principles, Java bean lifecycles, and SpringBoot hooks.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design, JUnit, Mockito, and Git.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating RDBMS from DB2 to AWS Aurora (Postgres).
• Experience leading hybrid USA/India teams.
