Description

You will lead the remediation of legacy applications and security vulnerabilities while directing technical architecture and team delivery.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical and architectural decisions for system scalability, capacity, and configuration.
• Assign tasks and provide direction to ensure the team meets development schedules and technical specifications.
• Mentor junior staff, conduct design and code reviews, and provide feedback throughout the development lifecycle to prevent quality issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business partners to define remediation and test strategies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Extensive Java/J2EE development background with focus on design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with middleware including WebLogic, Apache, and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency with relational databases: Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD and build automation tools: Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX environments and UNIX Shell scripting.
• Deep understanding of multi-tier architectures, web servers, caching, application servers, and load balancers.
• Working knowledge of application security, including LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, and SSH.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
