Description

Design and implement resilient Java-based capabilities while leading an Agile SCRUM team to deliver scalable services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of designing and implementing resilient Java-based capabilities.
• Lead a co-located Agile SCRUM team to meet deadlines and resolve emerging technical issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-dependent teams to define features and user stories.
• Research alternative technical solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions for low-latency, high-scale services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Expert programming skills in Java and microservices development.
• Proficiency in Spring Cloud, Spring Boot, and Tomcat.
• Experience with distributed systems architecture and design.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL persistence technologies, such as Oracle and MongoDB.
• Command of CI/CD principles and tools including Maven, Jenkins, and Chef.
• Experience with cloud hosting technologies such as PCF and Azure.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks including JUnit, Cucumber, Spock, and ATDD/BDD approaches.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Full stack engineering experience with Angular.
• Knowledge of event streaming frameworks like Kafka.
• Experience with monitoring solutions such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
