Description

You will lead the technical architecture and development of microservices-based applications in the public cloud, owning the full delivery lifecycle from design to deployment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and design discussions, proposing patterns to enterprise stakeholders and management.
• Drive technical excellence by mentoring engineers on decision-making, code reviews, and enforcing engineering standards.
• Build and deploy scalable microservices using AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage technical debt and evolve engineering processes to improve delivery quality and speed.
• Serve as the subject matter expert and main point of contact for your product domain.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership roles.
• Expert knowledge of Java (7+) enterprise development and middleware system integrations.
• 3+ years of architecture and development for large-scale enterprise applications using AWS (Lambda, SQS, EC2, ECS, API Gateway).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and Maven.
• Strong knowledge of container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience with application security using Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, or OpenID Connect.
• Proficiency in SQL (Postgres, Oracle) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB).
• Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka, Kinesis, IBM MQ, or ActiveMQ.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with TDD using JUnit5 and Mockito.
• Experience with APM tools (Datadog, Dynatrace) and log aggregation (Splunk, ELK, Opensearch).
