Description

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance applications for geological and geophysical data analysis.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate scientific domain requirements into on-prem or cloud software solutions.
• Design and develop thin and thick client applications interacting with cloud microservices.
• Present architectural designs and technical proposals to the architecture review board.
• Break down complex development tasks and define clear implementation roadmaps.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in scientific or geophysical software development.
• Proficiency in Java and C++.
• Experience with GitLab, Eclipse, VS Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Spark for container orchestration.
• Solid understanding of geophysical methods (Seismic, Fault, Horizon, Velocity modeling).
• Experience with Java 2D graphics and 3D OpenGL programming.
