Description

Lead Java development of microservice applications and scalable code while managing a team to deliver solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build microservice applications using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs, defining API schemas and gathering business requirements.
• Manage a development team to set standards, maintain technical documentation, and deliver new solutions.
• Perform code reviews, mentor developers, and drive code quality through pair programming.
• Debug errors, troubleshoot production issues, and perform routine performance optimizations.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Owners to align technical delivery with business needs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience with strong programming in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with RESTful Microservices development and API authentication/authorization.
• Strong relational database experience in Oracle, MS SQL, or Postgres.
• Proficiency with concurrency frameworks like Mono or Flux.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit.
• Familiarity with logging frameworks and monitoring tools like Kibana, ELK, or Dynatrace.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Design Patterns, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and using tools like Jira, GitLab, Swagger, Postman.

Preferred Skills

• Background in the Financial Domain/Sector.
• Experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate or Entity.
• Knowledge of queuing/streaming engines like Kafka, Docker, and CI/CD tools like SonarQube.
