Description

Lead a development team in building scalable, cloud-native retail commerce applications on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Drive end-to-end ownership of features from requirement analysis through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Conduct code reviews, debug complex issues, and provide technical guidance to resolve technical problems.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product, and Architecture teams to ensure successful delivery of enterprise applications.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives while promoting Agile best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience with strong coding skills in Java.
• 4+ years of proven experience leading development teams.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, and scalable application design.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native development.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Mandatory experience in the Retail Commerce/eCommerce domain.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Argo-CD, and Bamboo.
