Description

Lead the design and implementation of scalable Java microservices on Azure. Own architectural decisions, ensuring security, resilience, and performance standards are met across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Review architecture diagrams and design specifications to guide best practices for scalability and resilience.
• Design and implement microservices using Spring Boot, applying patterns like Saga and Circuit Breaker.
• Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka and Azure Event Hubs, handling partitioning, replication, and exactly-once processing.
• Define deployment strategies on Azure using AKS, Helm, and Docker, managing CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to resolve complex issues and enforce SOLID principles in code.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java programming experience, focusing on Java 8 features (Lambdas, Streams) and clean code.
• Strong proficiency with Spring Framework and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with microservices patterns and distributed systems design.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or Azure Event Hubs for event streaming.
• Familiarity with Azure services, specifically AKS and Azure Event Hubs.
• Proficiency in containerization tools: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Helm for Kubernetes package management.
• Ability to make architectural decisions under constraints and analyze problems quickly.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with reactive programming concepts.
• Knowledge of schema management in event-driven systems.
