Description

Lead technical direction and application remediation across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff and lead code and design reviews to prevent quality issues.
• Drive technical solutions in alignment with architectural roadmaps and industry trends.
• Partner with business users and application owners to define remediation and test strategies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify efficiency improvements and negotiate technology decisions.
• Resolve complex technical problems and document lessons learned in a central knowledge database.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of IT industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Extensive background in Java/J2EE development, design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, WebLogic, and Apache in UNIX environments.
• Proficiency with relational databases: Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with UNIX Shell scripting and build automation/CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, Artifactory).
• Deep understanding of multi-tier architectures, including web servers, caching, application servers, and load balancers.
• Knowledge of application security protocols (LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, SSH).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
