Description

Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable retail commerce applications on Google Cloud Platform while mentoring a development team.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software delivery from requirements gathering through production support for mission-critical retail systems.
• Lead and mentor developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Design and implement scalable, secure microservices architectures using Java and Spring Boot on GCP.
• Drive technical initiatives, resolve complex problems, and collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Manage agile ceremonies, estimations, and stakeholder communications to ensure timely delivery.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience with 4+ years leading teams.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native development.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (Argo-CD, Bamboo, Bitbucket).
• Strong testing skills using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
• Proven experience in the Retail Commerce or eCommerce domain.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Terraform, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage on GCP.
• Experience integrating with Loyalty, CRM, Payment, and Martech platforms.
