Description

Lead technical design and implementation for complex server-side applications in the Core Brokerage group.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical solutioning and product development within the Middle Office Core Platform Organization.
• Own the design, implementation, and testing of new features and improvements to existing codebases.
• Participate in requirement gathering and active shipping of product releases.
• Maintain and optimize SQL queries for Sybase or Oracle databases.
• Develop and maintain UNIX-based shell scripts (perl, ksh) and batch processes.

Required Skills

• 7-10+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong proficiency in either Golang or Java/J2EE.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Knowledge of C++ and Python.
• Understanding of Web Services protocols: REST, SOAP, IDL, and gRPC.
• Experience with API design for extensibility and portability.
• Proficiency in OOD and SOA principles.
• Working knowledge of cloud, service mesh, and containers.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of multiple languages including JavaScript.
• Experience with SCRUM, Agile, and iterative development approaches.
