Description

You will build and maintain Java-based RESTful web service APIs supporting member-facing applications and partners.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RESTful web service APIs in Java.
• Write clean, documented, testable code using TDD.
• Build performant services and diagnose system-level performance issues.
• Conduct design and code reviews and address team impediments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years with REST Web Services.
• Deep knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Proficiency with web frameworks like Spring MVC or Spring Boot.
• Experience designing database tables and writing SQL queries in an RDDBMS (e.g., Oracle).
• Familiarity with standard dev tools: Eclipse, Git, Github, Jenkins, Maven.
• Experience building SSO and web service integrations using SAML and SOAP.
• Understanding of API security and experience with an API Gateway (e.g., Tyk).
• Experience with testing tools: JUnit, Postman, and Swagger.
