Description

You will build and maintain backend services for media and entertainment workflows using Java and AWS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage microservices architecture using Spring Framework.
• Develop REST APIs to support media and entertainment workflows.
• Implement data persistence layers using Hibernate, JPA, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Integrate cloud-based media solutions and optimize content delivery.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Experience with Hibernate and JPA.
• Strong background in REST API development and microservices.
• Knowledge of media workflows, including metadata management, transcoding, and DRM.
• Understanding of CDNs and streaming optimizations.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with AWS Media Services or Azure Media.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within the media/entertainment domain.
