Description

You will design, develop, and maintain business applications and automated solutions to resolve complex problems. You will evaluate requirements and detailed designs to build moderate to complex application program solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure solution quality through peer code reviews, documentation, unit and integration testing, and defect root cause analysis.
• Assist with high-level solution design and consult with clients to identify risks and resolve system requirements.
• Research and recommend efficient system specifications, including the integration of vendor applications.
• Support application implementation into production and testing environments in coordination with operations staff.

Required Skills

• Minimum four years of application program development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and JDK 11 or JDK 17.
• Hands-on experience with React and GCP.
• Strong knowledge of the Spring ecosystem, including Spring 5+, Spring Data, and Spring microservice patterns.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
• Competency in Unit Testing, QA tools, and DevOps practices.
• Background in Application Development and Project Leadership.
• Working knowledge of Mainframe, DB2, UNIX, Oracle, Websphere, Peoplesoft, Business Objects, and ETL.

Preferred Skills

• Insurance industry background.
• Relevant technical certifications.
