Description

You will develop scalable Java applications on z/OS that integrate with existing mainframe systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex Java applications meeting low latency, high throughput, and multi-threading requirements.
• Design RESTful APIs using JAX-RS, J2EE, EJB, Java Transaction, and JPA.
• Consult with project teams on the design of critical services and system applications.
• Support existing business systems and participate in 7x24 on-call production support.
• Coach and lead less experienced IT staff on moderate to complex projects.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in application development.
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, EJB, and JPA.
• Experience with web development using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and DevOps tools.
• Experience with Java application containers and build tools.
• Ability to use Java testing tools for finished code.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and issue resolution skills.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience running Java on IBM mainframe environments.
• Knowledge of IBM mainframe technologies including CICS, MVS, ISPF, VSAM, DB2, and MQ.
• Understanding of IBM mainframe platforms such as LPARs, SYSPLEX, CICSPlex, CEC, and USS.
