Description

You will build and maintain scalable back-end services using Node.js and TypeScript. You own the development lifecycle from design to deployment, ensuring high quality for international clients in UK and US time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and maintenance of RESTful microservices.
• Write clean, testable code using TDD and unit testing frameworks.
• Manage cloud-based workflows using AWS Lambda and S3.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment to meet customer quality standards.
• Take full ownership of development work from design to deployment.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of overall software development experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with RESTful service design and Swagger/OpenAPI 3.
• Proficiency in SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and AWS DynamoDB.
• Experience with testing tools such as Cypress and Jest.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and GitLab-CI.
• Working knowledge of Docker and NPM.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating code from Java to Node.js.
• Knowledge of API Gateway, Sequelize, and Datadog.
• Experience developing secure, decoupled, and resilient microservices.
