Description

You will lead the end-to-end migration of Jira and Confluence from Data Center to Atlassian Cloud environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute migration strategies from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud.
• Manage data transfer, system configuration, and user setup using Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA).
• Perform pre-migration activities including instance planning, sanity checks, documentation, and user validation.
• Execute post-migration tasks such as application link checks, DC integration checks, log audits, and workflow adjustments.
• Mitigate migration challenges to ensure minimal operational disruption.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience specifically migrating Jira from Data Center to Cloud.
• Expertise with Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) for deployments and endpoint mappings.
• Deep understanding of Jira architecture, migration methodologies, and cloud technologies.
• Proven experience with Jira configuration, including managing global and local configurations.
• Hands-on experience with plugin integrations, advanced mappings, and behaviors.
• Ability to perform post-migration unit testing and random mapping checks.
• Bachelor’s Degree or any graduate degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Groovy scripting, ScriptRunner, or Python.
• In-depth knowledge of Jira Cloud and Data Center feature differences and limitations.
