Description

You will support engineering teams by updating drawings, verifying as-built documentation, and conducting field walkdowns to gather site data.

Responsibilities

• Identify, review, and update engineering drawings and project files.
• Conduct field walkdowns to verify existing as-built drawings and collect measurements, sketches, and photographs.
• Split time between office work and production floor interactions with contractors and employees.
• Document Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and ensure compliance with site-specific safety standards.
• Assist the project team in completing designated tasks while adhering to industry procedures.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in engineering, ideally gained in India before relocating for an MS program.
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometrics, pipe specifications, and equipment data sheets.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing updates and modifications.
• Experience working with equipment drawings and technical documentation.
• Understanding of industrial and chemical engineering processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX, wearing required PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• OPT student status for internship scope.
