Description

You will own the testing lifecycle for custom applications and GIS components, ensuring quality from test planning through UAT facilitation and defect triage.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Create and document test plans, test cases, and Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) for system and UAT testing.
• Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and report anomalies, bottlenecks, and risks to management.
• Collaborate with business partners, PMO, and vendor teams to understand requirements and develop UAT test scenarios.
• Participate in defect triage meetings, demos, and weekly status reporting to the QA Testing Lead.
• Prepare sample data and facilitate/oversee UAT activities for end users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience testing custom applications in mid-scale or large-scale software development projects.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with GitHub and ServiceNow for version control and defect management.
• Ability to review and analyze system specifications, business requirements, and design documents.
• Proficiency in manual testing, test automation, and various testing types (system, regression, performance, security).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a similar field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GIS components and public sector projects.
• Mobile device testing experience.
• Testing certifications such as CAST, CSTE, CSQA, or CMSQ.
