JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Data Analytics Engineer with strong expertise in DBT, Snowflake, SQL optimization, and dimensional data modeling to help build and maintain the analytical foundation supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience transforming complex source data into scalable, analytics-ready datasets while following modern data modeling and engineering best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and maintain star-schema data models, including fact and dimension tables.
Build, maintain, and test DBT models to deliver reliable, trusted, analytics-ready datasets.
Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot data structures and SQL workloads within Snowflake.
Apply data modeling best practices while making informed decisions around dimensional design, normalization, and denormalization.
Partner with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
Participate in architecture and design discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and peer reviews to establish consistent modeling standards.
Support end-to-end data delivery from ingestion through transformation and into the semantic layer for reporting and analytics.
Document data modeling decisions, technical approaches, dependencies, and standards to continuously improve data architecture and engineering practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong hands-on experience with DBT development and testing
Strong experience with Snowflake and SQL optimization
Proven experience designing and implementing star-schema dimensional models
Deep understanding of fact and dimension modeling
Strong knowledge of analytical data warehouse concepts
Ability to work effectively within collaborative, cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Python or Power Query
DP-203 or SnowPro Certification
Experience with modern data engineering and analytics practices
