Description

You will support device and application development within wireless network environments by owning protocol stack testing, automation, and performance analysis.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test wireless protocol stacks including PDCP, RLC, and MAC.
• Utilize network test equipment and traffic generators to validate performance.
• Build automation scripts for testing and data collection.
• Analyze mobile architectures and emerging wireless technologies.
• Consume web and application services on Android devices.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in device or application development for handset manufacturers, network operators, or chipset vendors.
• 2+ years of experience in 3G, LTE, or 5G NR wireless protocol stack development.
• Proficiency in 3GPP standards including GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, and 5G NR.
• Experience with network test equipment such as Ixias, Spirant, Fluke Networks, Spectrum Analyzers, and Traffic Generators.
• Programming skills in Python, Perl, TCL, LabView, or SCPI for automation.
• Knowledge of 3GPP2 standards like 1xRTT and EVDO.
• Experience with Android device application services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with protocol analyzers including XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, QCAT, MA, or STT.
• Knowledge of modem/application processor architectures and wireless modem logging.
• Expertise in system-level simulations and KPI measurement.
